FOCUS On Recovery receives BBJ 2014 Non-Profit Award . . .

BIRMINGHAM, AL, – Phyllis F. Wyne, Executive Director for FOCUS On Recovery, proudly accepted the BBJ 2014 Non-Profit Award for organizations with revenue under $500,000 at the Non-Profit Awards Luncheon held on June 19, 2014 at the Sheraton Ballroom.  The awards luncheon recognizes the top non-profit organizations, as well as the businesses and corporate citizens that support them.

FOCUS On Recovery provides a safe haven and critical life skills training for women during the crucial transitional period between primary treatment and returning home as responsible parents, family members and citizens.   FOCUS provides women in early recovery with housing, life skills training, job readiness training, financial literacy, relapse prevention groups, family workshop groups, relationship workshops, twelve step recovery groups, self-esteem classes, art therapy, along with a recovery network to sustain their sobriety.

FOCUS On Recovery is honored to receive this award and attributes our success of 84% to the dedicated staff, board of directors, alumni, volunteers, donors and partners within the community.
