Prospective Residents

Applicants may be referred by a primary treatment program counselor or halfway-house counselor or make personal contact if discharged from treatment and in need of support to continue recovery. A staff member will schedule an interview to determine appropriateness for both parties.
Applicants must:
- Have completed a primary treatment program for alcohol or drug addiction or be currently involved in an intensive-out-patient or partial-hospitalization program.
- Be age 21 or older.
- Have the ability to function in a community setting.
- Have no current history of violence or violent criminal charges pending.
- Have no severe medical problems that would interfere with participation at FOCUS.
- Be able to take medications responsibly and maintain contact with their current physicians as scheduled.
